Mr. Hill isn’t sure what happened to his parents’ front gate, exactly. Just that they came back from an extended trip overseas to find it badly dented and several of the bars smashed inward.
We measured the damaged bars that needed replacement, and cut three new ones to size. When those were ready, we removed the gate and started the welding. We replaced the three most damaged bars and softened others so we could bend and patch them back into shape. The most sensitive part of the operation was bending the upper frame bar straight again, but we managed it without breaking anything else. Then, we reattached the gate.
